    Get your library card

    Anyone who lives, works or attends school in Kokubunji city is entitled to a free library card.

        If you live in FUCHU city or KUNITACHI city, library card is also entitled.

    Library card can be used in all Kokubunji city libraries.

　　

   Living in KOKUBUNJI city

　Bring valid identification. (Includes your name and current address.)

　Such as a health insurance card, a driver’s license or a foreign resident registration card.

Such as a national health insurance card, a driver’s license or a foreign resident registration card.

Also, another identification which shows employment/school attendance is required.

Living in KUNITACHI city

Bring valid identification. (Includes your name and current address.)

Such as a health insurance card, a driver’s license or a foreign resident registration card.

Living in FUCHU city

Bring valid identification. (Includes your name and current address.)

Such as a health insurance card, a driver’s license or a foreign resident registration card.

Please Note: Request service is not applied to user who lives in FUCHU.

●  Only the owner of a library card is allowed to use the card.

●  The card may not be usable if it is bent or folded. Please keep it carefully.

●  When your address or telephone number is changed, please rewrite your subscription. Please process at any libraries.

●  If you lose your library card, please let us know immediately.

Borrowing Materials

●   Books and magazines…up to 12 items.

You can renew 2 more weeks for books and magazines unless other user reserves it.

●   CDs…up to 2 CDs

(2weeks)

CDs can’t be renewed.

Returning materials

Materials can be checked out at any libraries.

BOOK BOX* is ready for books and magazines.

CDs can’t be put in this box. Please check it out at library counter.(at any libraries.)

*BOOK BOX is set at each library and Izumi Hall building

Renew materials

Books and magazines can be renewed 2 more weeks unless other user has placed a “hold” on it.

Materials may be renewed 1 time for the same period as the original loan.

Renew by phone

Call any libraries.

Have your library card handy (Barcode number is required).

Please Note: We calculate your new due date from the day you renew your items.
If you renew early, time is not added to your original due date.

Renew through Internet (JAPANESE)

1.    Enter your Barcode number and PIN.

2.    Select the items you want to renew.

　　3.    Click the 【貸出延長】(Renew) button.

Please Note: PIN must be preset. Please bring your library card and any IDs to the counter to preset PIN.

Renew in person

Tell us at any libraries. Library staff will renew the materials for you. (Your library card is required.)

You don’t have to bring materials.

Research materials

l  Feel free to ask library staff.

l  Our online catalog is available at any libraries.

l  Materials can be searched through internet. (Online Catalogs.)

Request Materials

Please request if you can’t find materials you want.

We will get them from other libraries. (include other public libraries)

Please Note: User who lives in FUCHU can’t use this service.
